WCAG 2.2 Level AA is used as a practical reference objective. This statement does not claim that every page, third-party feature, or future update is fully conformant at all times.

1. Commitment

Mindful Readers is committed to providing a website experience that is reasonably accessible to people with disabilities. Accessibility is treated as an ongoing responsibility involving design, content structure, navigation, contrast, forms, images, and compatibility with commonly used assistive technology.

2. Accessibility objective

Mindful Readers uses WCAG 2.2 Level AA as a practical accessibility reference objective where reasonably practicable. WCAG provides a framework for perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust web content. Mindful Readers does not currently make a formal claim that every page, responsive variation, third-party feature, or future update fully conforms to WCAG 2.2 Level AA at all times; the standard is used to guide design, testing, remediation, and ongoing improvement.

3. Measures used

Accessibility measures may include semantic headings, meaningful link text, keyboard-accessible navigation, visible focus indicators, text alternatives for meaningful images, sufficient color contrast, responsive layouts, labeled form fields, clear validation feedback, reduced-motion consideration, and content that can be enlarged using browser controls.

The site uses native controls when they provide reliable accessibility and supplements interactive features with labels, state information, and keyboard behavior where appropriate.

4. Keyboard navigation

Visitors should generally be able to move through links, buttons, form fields, disclosure controls, and the project modal using a keyboard. Focus indicators are intended to remain visible. The Escape key may close the project modal. A visitor who encounters a keyboard trap, hidden focus, or inaccessible control is encouraged to report the page and element involved.

5. Images and visual content

Meaningful images should include concise text alternatives describing their relevant purpose. Decorative images may use empty alternative text so assistive technology can ignore them. Some editorial imagery contains visible words as part of the photographed environment; adjacent page content is intended to communicate the important service information without requiring a visitor to interpret text inside the photograph.

6. Color, text, and motion

The visual system is intended to maintain readable contrast and avoid relying on color alone for important instructions. Visitors may use browser zoom and operating-system display settings. Motion should be reduced when the browser communicates a reduced-motion preference. Decorative display typography may be used for visual emphasis, while legal, instructional, navigational, and form content is intended to use a more structured and readable type style.

7. Forms

Form fields are intended to have programmatic labels and required-field validation. The current project form displays a text confirmation only after required information is completed. Validation errors should identify the incomplete field and preserve a usable focus order. The form does not require a mouse to select a service or submit information.

8. Compatibility

The website is designed for current versions of major browsers and common desktop and mobile operating systems. Older browsers, unusual combinations of assistive technology, disabled scripts, blocked fonts, or heavily modified style settings may affect presentation. Mindful Readers will consider reasonable reports that identify a reproducible barrier.

9. Third-party content

Some website functions may depend on hosting systems, embedded providers, external fonts, consent tools, analytics, or other third-party technology. Mindful Readers does not control every aspect of a third party's accessibility. When a barrier involves a third-party feature, Mindful Readers may seek an alternative method, communicate the issue to the provider, or provide information in another practical format when reasonably possible.

10. Known limitations

Accessibility can be affected by newly added content, platform updates, third-party applications, temporary technical failures, or content supplied in a format that has not yet been remediated. A limitation does not mean access concerns are unimportant. Reports help prioritize corrective work and identify situations not detected through ordinary review.

11. Alternative access

If a visitor cannot access important website information, the visitor may request the same information in another reasonable format. The request should identify the page, content, preferred format, assistive technology if relevant, and a method for receiving the response. Mindful Readers will evaluate the request and available alternatives without requiring unnecessary disability details.

12. Feedback process

Accessibility feedback should include the page title or location, a description of the barrier, the device and browser used when helpful, and the requested outcome. Reports are reviewed as part of ongoing site maintenance. Response and remediation time will depend on the nature of the issue, technical complexity, third-party involvement, and available alternative access.

13. No retaliation or surcharge

Mindful Readers will not intentionally retaliate against a person for raising a good-faith accessibility concern. A reasonable alternative format or communication method will not be subject to an accessibility surcharge, although ordinary service fees remain applicable to purchased professional services.

14. Ongoing review

The website may be reviewed and updated as content, technology, guidance, and practical feedback evolve. This Statement will be revised when material accessibility practices change.
